| Men of the U.S. 1st Air Cavalry are shown as they moved out in support of an attack on the Lang Vei Special Forces camp near Khe Sanh in South Vietnam. Units of the 1st Cavalry entered the camp unopposed at first, but ran into an entrenched group of North Vietnamese troops the following day. Smoke rises from enemy positions under fire in background. 1/77th FA participated in Operation Pegasus in April, 1968. | ||
